Buckeye Blitz

We've had a great spring so far!  We've been to the 'Shoe, prettied up the yard, celebrated both of the kids' birthdays (more on that in a future post), and have had a great time with friends and family.  We've even been in the pool a few times!

Back in April, we had a weekend that was jam-packed with Buckeyes!  Danny, Dad, and I went down to campus for the first annual Buck-I-Run (thanks, Mom, for hanging out with the kiddos).  The sun was setting when we arrived, but the run took place after dark.  It was a "glow run" so they handed out glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark paint too!  It was a good time!  We love being on campus, and being there in this environment was fun!

The next day, after Cadence's gymnastics class, we headed to campus, again, for the Spring Game.  It was beautiful weather -- we were part of the record-setting crowd (100,189)!  The "new" Ohio Union (I say new because it's still new to us) is so cool compared to what we had while we went to Ohio State, so we always try to swing by.

We met up with our friends and stayed at the game until we all started to get hungry.  Like last year, we got Adriatico's Pizza (the BEST pizza around...in my opinion) and ate lunch on the Oval.  Danny and I like this little tradition.  I think the kids enjoyed themselves more than we did.

We stopped by Mirror Lake...

...and checked out some bands that were playing at the nearby Browning Amphitheatre (yes, I had to look up the name -- never knew it!)

Starting them young...O-H-I-O!

Yup, they love Brutus too

I had to share a bunch of cute pics my mom has sent to me from recent "Grandma Fridays"

Cadence was so excited to make and decorate a tornado bottle from scratch (I think she saw it on TV).  It worked, but was pretty leaky, so we bought a legit Tornado Tube to connect a couple of 2 liters since then.  It works much better!

We all like (well, the adults anyway) the TV show, Shark Tank.  Mom and Dad buy a bunch of stuff from the people that are in the 'tank.  One of the companies we like is Scratch & Grain.  The kids love baking up a small batch of cookies with Poppa!

Colin sure knows how to make me laugh.  I'm convinced he's going to be the class clown in school.  Hopefully he'll be able to pull off good grades as well.  He climbed up to the front of the car while I loaded the car up with some Costco goodies (this usually takes a while), and I found him with my sunglasses on.

On our way to daycare one morning, he was jamming out to one of his favorite songs.  Which song? I don't remember -- it changes on a weekly basis.

I asked them to pose so I could send my mom a picture of them in the PJs she got them and this is what I got.  They're too much!

I'm going to try to post some birthday pictures soon!
