November 2017 and Thanksgiving Weekend

The kids have been doing a wonderful job at school...

Cadence was excited about her entry for the yearbook artwork contest.  She wants the cover page so badly she can taste it!

Colin has been doing awesome with his penmanship, he's doing a great job staying in the lines when coloring, recognizes all uppercase and most lowercase letters, and can count to 30!

Cadence has learned so much at her piano lessons - she's even experimenting with writing her own music!

When the leaves started to fall, Cadence had the idea to go down the zip line through a pile of leaves.  We finally had enough leaves to make a huge pile.  Both kids had a blast!

Danny treated Colin to the Donatos buffet for lunch while I was at work.  He said he ate like a champ!

Halloween 2017

The weekend before Halloween, we carved our pumpkins.  The kids surprised me and actually helped clean out the pumpkins early in the day.  Usually they don't like how slimy they are!

That night, Mom and Dad came over to carve their pumpkin with us.

I think they turned out great!

Cadence had a Halloween party at school - it looks like they had some fun activities.

Cadence gave her first presentation at school - each student picked a spider to research.  Cadence picked the Black Widow Spider.  She's Miss Independent and didn't really want our input when working on her project.  She did a great job!

My mom sent me this picture while I was at work - she dressed up as Cruella de Vil - I literally laughed out loud when I received her text!  Her costume was great!

Catboy and a Dalmatian - they had these costumes planned since Halloween 2016!

We met up with our friends, an astronaut and mad scientist, to go trick-or-treating in their neighborhood.  We are thankful for their friendship - we had a great Halloween night!  Its now December as I'm writing this - we still have candy from Halloween at the house!
