November '24

November brought the start of basketball practices for Colin and some softball hitting lessons for Cadence, but that's pretty tame for sports and the Schuermans.  Check out below what we were up to in November!

Cadence decided to be part of the crew for the high school's fall play: The Somewhat True Tales of Robin Hood.  If you look between the 2 actors at curtain call, you can see Cadence in the background (in all black).  Luckily, my photo has her friends, Grace and Macie (center & right)!  She had a fun time participating in something new and spending time with her friends after school.  She helped with the props for the play -- she helped create them and would make sure they were ready for the actors at each scene.  It was nice to see what she had helped put together!

Macie, Grace, & Cadence

Danny had to take a trip to Seattle mid-month, so here's a "going to school" pic we sent to him (Oden participated, too)

Danny met me & the kids at Easton that Saturday morning after taking a red-eye back.  We grabbed lunch and then went to Pins for some fun!

The sky looked like a mountain range on my way home from work one evening

Halloween 2024

I'm thankful that the kids still enjoy all of the traditional Halloween "things."  Halloween 2024 was a great time -- check it out!

If I'm remembering correctly, Cadence carved the one on the left and Colin did the one on the right.  I'm so impressed with how well they turned out.  And they did the work completely on their own!

We were happy to be able to trick-or-treat with the Marinellis again.  There was no rain and the kids actually got a little warm (especially Colin) while running from house to house!

They always count their "haul" and trade candy when they're done.

Can't wait to see what Halloween 2025 has in store for us!

Circleville Pumpkin Show '24

We decided to let each kid take a friend along with us to the Circleville Pumpkin Show.  Cadence brought Grace and Colin brought Darren.  We hadn't been in a while, so it was great to be back! (Not pictured -- all of the awesome pumpkin food we ate.)

The kids played some of the carnival games...

...and the boys got ride wrist bands and rode ALL the rides!

Darren rode this by himself the firs time; then Colin got the courage to ride it as well.  I was so proud of him!

Until next year, Circleville!

October 2024

October was filled with a softball tournament, pretty skies, fishing, and fun with Oden!

The kids look great in their '24-'25 yearbook photos!

I don't think we got as many flowers on our hydrangea this past summer, but they were still very pretty!

This guy can get comfy anywhere...

To the naked eye, you could barely see the northern lights that were visible in Ohio, but through the camera on your phone?  Wow!

Big Walnut hosted a fall softball tournament -- participating teams dressed up!  Our girls were Harley Quinn.  They looked great!

Some pics to Danny while he was away for work!

We call it the "forcefield" -- Oden does really well staying away from the dinner table at mealtime!  Usually he sits on the couch and stares at us 😂

I found one of Scarlet's old sweaters and sent a pic of it to Danny.  It started to get chilly and I knew Oden would be cold!

We spotted the eagles on one of our walks!

Following in his big sister's footsteps, Colin joined Builder's Club at school.  He usually helps with the recycling at the school 😀

Mom and Dad got a fishing boat and took Colin out on Hoover for an afternoon of fishing! The kids were off from school for a conference comp. day.

Oden loves the blanket that I got from Mike for MY birthday!

HOCO'24

Our sweet, little freshman went to homecoming 2024 with her best friends!  She had a great time.  I think the process of finding the dress, picking out the accessories, and having her hair done was just as fun as the dance.   I posted on the Sunbury moms Facebook group that we were interested in hand-me-down dresses.  I found a purple one and a teal one for her.  The moms of the girls who wore them even let Cadence try them on before we bought one.  She ended up picking the teal one and it was sooo pretty!  Momma helped us make it more comfortable for her.  We found her shoes and purse on Amazon and she wore jewelry that she already owned.  We bought glue-on nails at the grocery store and they did the trick!  I had our family friend, Ashlee, do her hair for her.  She did a great job!

Macie and Lily got ready with Cadence at our house, then I brought the girls to Founder's Park at Polaris to take pictures with friends.

Soooo pretty!

Macie's mom took them to Raising Cane's for dinner

And they had time to kill before the dance so they did some shopping at Target!  I mean, what girl doesn't like strolling through the aisles at Target?!

After the dance, they had a sleepover at Lily's house.  So happy Cadence has a great group of friends!
