Heyyyyy, June!

Per usual, June was full of baseball, softball, and some other fun things sprinkled in between!  Check it out!

Cadence's team had a rough "go" in their first tournament of the season, but Cadence was awarded MVP in the Buckeye Elite tournament by one of the opposing teams (each game the teams picked an MVP to award to the other team).  It was well-deserved.  Her efforts didn't go unnoticed!!

This was taken during one of the weeknight double-headers where they went 1-1 against the Lady Panthers.  It was so hot during those games!  It's nice to have a couple pictures of the team together.

In the middle of June, we had a fawn visiting our front yard at dusk!

Cadence and I had to recreate her sun pic in the same location a year later on our way to her Findlay tournament.  That weekend, Cadence's team played in the Liberty Benton Eagle Classic tournament and Colin's team played in their last tournament of the season, not far away in Huron.  Colin's team won both games leading up to the championship on Sunday, but fell to New Albany, 6-8.  It was a tough loss!

Colin's (Danny was the coach) team won the Big Walnut Little League tournament.  It was a lot of fun to watch!

 The boys got Danny good!

...and also a parent who was trying to talk to Danny!

They were trying for round 2!

Auntie Donna and Uncle David came to visit cousin Dan toward the end of June.  It was Auntie's birthday, so we had a party at Dan's apartment downtown.

Miranda sent me this pic of the "twins," Lydia and Cadence during one of the weeknight travel
games 😊 Everyone always got them confused with one another when they'd be out on the field!  Even Lydia's little sister thought Cadence was Lydia one day and was hugging her leg while we were talking after one of their games 😄

Colin hanging out with Lydia's brother, Caleb.  Caleb has also played lacrosse and basketball with Colin.  They're even in some of the same classes and are pretty good buds!

Birthdays Galore

This year, to celebrate the kids' birthdays, each of them had a sleepover/swim party with their friends.  Both kids lucked out with beautiful weather, but we had a wait a while for the boys to swim so the water in the pool could warm up (we celebrated a week before Colin's actual birthday)!

While the boys waited to swim, they had a water balloon fight.

Darren always finds this wig that Colin wore for Halloween last year.  Peep a tiny Patrick!

Colin requested whoopie pies again!

The gang the morning after.

Colin had a baseball game on his actual birthday.  The team sang, "Happy Birthday" to him and they had cookies.  Colin's night was made even better because after we picked up Cadence from school (she had just returned from her DC trip), we went out to dinner with a bunch of his teammates.  He loves doing that.

Obligatory "day of" birthday pic!

Grandma and Poppa spoiled Colin with a shopping trip and some Skyline and Little Ladies Soft Serve.

Cadence's friends and their boyfriends came over to celebrate her birthday.  They swam and had fun.  Just the girls stuck around for the sleepover part, though. 😉

Macie took this one for me...

and I got this one so I could see her face better! Officially FOURTEEN years old!
