I just love Summer -- I wish I could bottle it up and enjoy it throughout the year! We've had a lot of good times this Summer. I must admit, as much fun as football season can be, I get a little sad when I hear the countdown begin for the start of the Ohio State Football season. It means colder weather is on its way! I'm trying to get better about enjoying everything that all of the seasons have to offer, but Summer will always be my favorite!
My mom ran to Kroger with Colin last week and captured this cute pic of Colin. I just had to share!
He held my keys hostage one afternoon after school -- he wouldn't give them back and thought it was a riot making the car alarms go off and the lights turn on!
Danny got some '80s accessories from a work function and brought some of them home to share with the kids. Oh, this girl is just too much...
Colin would make a great addition to any window washing company...he would just have to wear some clothes!
Cadence lost tooth #2! Her new teeth are already starting to come in!
My mom sent me this pic on a Friday morning. It's so sweet! He'll make a good daddy one day...
We've had a couple recent play dates with Cadence's friends at a park in Westerville. I sent a text to her boyfriend, Blake's, mom one day asking if Blake would like to meet up at the park some time before kindergarten starts. Cadence was ecstatic to find out that she'd see Blake again!
A couple of weeks ago, Danny and I left work a little early to meet my parents and the kids at the Ohio State Fair. We had a lot of fun!
We got to ride the Sky Glider before the rest of the gang showed up.
The butter sculptures this year were dedicated to the National Champs! There are always the impressive cow sculptures, but this year they added, Brutus, the National Championship trophy, Coach Urban Meyer, and a giant football helmet. And yup, it's all made out of butter!
We only saw the last 2 minutes of one of the horse competitions this year.
While Danny and Cadence played some of the fair games, Colin and I decided to try out a ride. He was tall enough to go on this airplane ride he gravitated towards. Yeah, he totally is not ready for this stuff yet. He was shaking the entire time! Ugh, I felt horribly for him! Here's a pic of him before the ride started. We typically don't let him have his paci during the day, but it was turning into a late night for him.
We each took a turn riding the carousel and the giant slide with Cadence. We had a blast!
I'm not sure if this video will work, but we'll try!
The kids' favorite part of the fair, again, was the cool down center. They ran through that thing until they were dripping wet!
Colin had fun practicing using some toddler scissors.
All ready for the pool!
