Wow, is it really Christmas Eve already? The last 6 months have felt like a whirlwind...between welcoming Colin into our lives, selling our house, moving in with my parents, and both Danny and I being beyond busy at work, the second part of 2013 is a big blur. However, aside from the craziness with work, I don't think either of us would change anything about this year. We are extremely excited to see what 2014 has in store for us.
Since the last blog post, we've made a few trips to Hamilton to visit Danny's family. We celebrated Thanksgiving with Mike's girlfriend, Marisa's family. We've found ways to keep Cadence entertained since the weather in Ohio has been rather brutal. We took Cadence to see her first movie in the movie theater, Frozen...she loved it! Danny and I have been contacting painters and contractors so that we can start gathering quotes on renovating our new house. The previous owners will be out this Friday! Danny and my dad are planning on going up to the house this weekend to start ripping out carpet and taking down walls! We've also been busy preparing for Christmas!
After people kept suggesting it, I finally let Danny cut Colin's hair. I had just assumed it would all fall out like Cadence's did. He had this Donald Trump thing going on, so we gave him a little trim. He was still too little to go to a salon to get it done, so we did it ourselves at home!
The Before
The After...much better

Cadence had a lot of fun at the movies! She loves the movie, Frozen. She wouldn't stand next to the movie display of Olof the snowman for a picture, though. Oh yeah, and the seats kept folding in on her because she is light as a feather!
He's getting so big! He's getting really good at sitting up by himself!
The last time we got a decent amount of snow, it was too cold to go out and play...so we brought some snow inside! We used food coloring to make it a little more fun...and messy. Cadence was pretending to make ice cream.
Crafting with Mamaw, Aunt Annie, and the cousins after Thanksgiving!
Cadence had fun decorating cookies this year (she got pretty bored with the gingerbread house last year)...she went a little overboard with the sprinkles, but it was great watching her have so much fun.
The letter "C" for Cadence, of course
The 3-4 year old classes at her "school" performed, "Jingle Bells" this year at the Christmas Program. She did so well! If you notice in the pictures below, she's the only kid NOT standing on the bleachers. Apparently, some of the kids were going nuts during rehearsals and freaked Cadence out.
We celebrated Christmas early with Danny's family since we will be at the new house all weekend after Christmas. We all got a lot of great gifts and had fun visiting with everyone. By Sunday evening, the kids were completely worn out!
She was a big fan of her Sophia the First toy from the Napiers!
The girls were having a TON of fun with Gracie's Frozen dress-up clothes and Cadence's tent!
Danny had a couple free nights left, so we stayed the night at a hotel. Cadence had fun eating a snack in bed!
7 Months Old!
Mom got a really cute pic of the kids together one Friday.
