So I knew that I was behind on blog posts, but just realized that it is now Fall and most of the pictures in this post are from early Summer! I know I always say we've been super busy, but since May, we've really kicked it up a notch. We went from having a baby, to putting our house up for sale, to selling our house, then on to garage sale, out of town wedding, and moving to Mom & Dad's house! Whew! And to top it off, work for both Danny and me has been out of control; there have been a lot of changes for both of us, but hey, at least we have jobs! I also realized that part of the reason why I don't update the blog as much, is because using this laptop seems so archaic! We've gotten so used to using the iPad or our phones to do stuff online because they're so convenient. We've gotten spoiled to the point that using the laptop is no longer convenient!
As always, our kids are super cute (at least I think so, and I know a lot of you will agree with me...ha!). They keep us busy and entertained at the same time. Most recently, Cadence has said stuff like, "that doesn't make sense to me!" or "who turned out the lights?" when her shirt got stuck on her head. She's even started "playing dead" lately. She picks up a lot of strange things from school! Speaking of school, Cadence moved up to the 3-4 year old room in August. The kids in this room are completely potty trained and have lunch in a mini-cafeteria together. If you've seen the facebook posts from my mom where Cadence is sitting on a carousel horse, it's in the mini-cafeteria. Each week they learn a new letter of the alphabet, as well as a new number, color, etc. She has a lot of friends in her class, but I've noticed lately that she's a big fan of the boys...uh oh!
Colin has been doing well too! He started "school" (as we call it) after we got back from my cousin, Melissa's, wedding in Atlanta. He was about 10 weeks old when he started. Thankfully, my mom watched him for us after I went back to work so he didn't have to start at 6 weeks! We really like his "teachers"; that helps a lot when it comes time to drop them off at school each day. His personality is starting to develop and it's really easy to get him to smile and laugh. He's a pretty easy going baby - he can get mad though! Watch out if he's super hungry or super tired! He's also learned that his feet are attached to his body and constantly reaches for them. He's getting better at controlling his head as well. We've tried to sit him in his Bumbo seat a couple of times, but he's still kind of wobbly. He has his 4 month doctors appointment on Friday. I'm curious to see how much he's grown...but don't want him to have to get more shots! It will be interesting to see if we get the go ahead to start him on rice cereal too!
The move to my parents' house was a quick, but smooth transition. It was a lot of work and Danny and my dad did most of the moving! Cadence thought it was cool to have a bigger room...she still calls it Uncle Mike's room. Since it was empty, we moved everything from her old room into her new room. We all have our own room, and with three bathrooms upstairs, there's no issue there either! We're really thankful that my parents are letting us stay with them until we have a new place to live. We still haven't decided on whether we want to build a new house, or buy an existing house. We are working with the realtor that sold our house (he's my parents' neighbor), so every day, we get updates on new listings, pricing changes, etc. We still haven't come across anything that we were dying to check out!
Just like last Fall, I'm not looking forward to the chilly weather, but I am looking forward to other things that the season brings: apple picking, pumpkin carving, Halloween, Thanksgiving...Danny would add football to the list I'm sure.
Some sweet brother/sister TV time...and Scarlet being a good girl in the background.
Happy Baby
His tongue is always sticking out!
4th of July
Colin after his 1 month doctors appointment and shots...poor babe was wiped out! I have similar pictures of Cadence from the same time!
I think Scarlet felt badly for him too...
OK, so Cadence is a silly girl. This is what she wanted to wear one night after her bath!
I mentioned she's silly, right? They had superhero week at school. Here she is modeling her mask that she made.
Right after the 4th of July, we had Colin baptized at St. Michael Church. We're glad both of our families were able to attend. It was a nice day, celebrating with everyone.
Here's a good shot of Colin's godparents, my Dad and Erica.
She's a silly kid...remember? Look how sweet Gracie looks!
Good shot with Deacon Demidovich, who baptized Cadence as well!
All 5 cousins!
Here's Colin on his first day of school!
2 Month Picture
We were honored when my cousin, Melissa, asked us if Cadence would be the flower girl in her wedding! I think Cadence did a great job! I could tell she was a little nervous, but I was amazed at how quickly she warmed up to everyone in my family. She had a blast playing with her distant cousins!
I think I've mentioned it a time or two, she's crazy!
SOLD, baby!
Brother/Sister bonding time...it was short-lived. Cadence was telling Colin that a snake was on Little Einsteins!

Big Sis!
4 Month Picture...getting so big!
