Wow, do we really have a 1 month old and a 3 year old?! We've been busy...but a good busy! Since the last blog post, we've gone to Indianapolis for Colin's newborn photo session, celebrated Cadence's 3rd birthday, and are expecting our 7th and 8th house showings this weekend.
The trip to Indy went very well! Colin slept the entire time and Cadence watched movies the whole way...all in Mom and Dad's new RV! It was a very nice way to travel! Colin was a little fussy at the beginning of the session because he had slept the entire trip, but Kimmy, our photographer, was able to get him to sleep and she got some great shots!
Cadence had a lot of fun at her birthday party and got a lot of great gifts! It was really nice to see everyone that was able to attend. Thanks to all who helped make our big girl's day even more special.
So our house isn't selling as quickly as we thought it would. The feedback that we have received is that the majority of the people like our house, like our lot, like the neighborhood, like the way our house is decorated, but think our house is too small (hence the reason we're moving!) and the houses are too close to one another. Hopefully we'll find the right buyers soon! It's a lot of work getting 2 kids and a dog out of the house ready for another showing!
Here's little Colin sleeping just like his big sister used to when she was a baby!
And here's Cadence...
Here are some of my favorite shots from the session with Kimmy!
Apparently Cadence was very observant during our session with Kimmy. She just had to stand on her chairs to get a good shot of her napping brother.
"Chilling out" with her brother, as Cadence would say.
Here's Cadence, happy as can be, while her class sang, "Happy Birthday" to her
Playing with her new sprinkler!
Nany, Granpa and Uncle Ricky came to visit for Cadence's birthday party!
Cadence and her future boyfriend, Jonah during her party.
Uncle Mike, Marisa and Scarlet
"Aunt" Erica and Grandma
Poppa
Didn't really have a theme this time around, but we went with pink and elephants.
This kid doesn't like birthday cake or cupcakes, so we had cookies with mini cupcakes instead. I think she had like one bite. Maybe next year we'll do chips or something salty!
Hanging out with Mommy after bath time
Here's the wee little guy at 1 month old! He was fussy as heck...did not want to cooperate! This is the best we could do. We went to his 1 month appointment at the doctors last week. Colin weighed 8 lbs., 13 oz. and was 22 inches long (up from 6 lbs., 8 oz. and 21 inches long at his 1 week appointment!) He had to get his second Hepatitis B shot. He screamed and turned bright red at first, but quickly calmed down! He was such a trooper!
