Danny is out of town tonight for work, so I thought I'd take some time to update the blog! I have a lot of pictures to add, so it's a pretty long post! Cadence, is of course, continuing to keep us entertained.

Here's Cadence wearing my Buckeye necklace before the Final Four Ohio State basketball game. We thought it would bring them good luck, but apparently not! The game was on too late for Cadence to watch, but throughout March Madness, Cadence has become interested in basketball! Making Daddy proud!
Cadence's future boyfriend, Jonah, recently turned 2! We were invited to his birthday party, which was themed, The Hungry Caterpillar. Cadence had a blast with all the kids and loved the caterpillar cupcakes!
She took everything out of her favor bucket and took inventory that night.
She thought it was funny to use her bracelets as glasses.
Since Danny and I are a part of our homeowner's association, I helped stuff Easter eggs and we took Cadence to the Easter egg hunt the following day. Our neighbor, Alexis, helped Cadence find a ton of eggs! She had a really good time and the weather was beautiful!

Lining up her candy! She's a pro...we've got a lot of candy in our house right now. It's like Halloween all over again!

Dying eggs! She was very protective of her eggs. Even when they were done, she did not want to take them out of the water!

Little Miss Attitude!
The Easter Bunny Came!

(Poor Scarlet, she's wearing the cone because she's allergic to EVERYTHING during Spring and scratches herself like crazy!)
She was such a good girl at church. Easter mass was packed!
She's a little obsessed with her Dora bubble blower from the Easter Bunny!
She insisted on Poppa blowing bubbles on her belly.

Play-doh time!
Someone got a little carried away with the stickers!

Maybe she's camping?

Spring is here and we're looking forward to some fun outside! It has been unseasonably warm, so we were able to take some family walks around the neighborhood and go to the park. Cadence has a lot of fun going down the slides but is petrified of the swings again!

Last Saturday for St. Patrick's Day, Cadence was dressed in green (for the early part of the day, anyway) and she had some Lucky Charms cereal for breakfast and some homemade Shamrock Shakes for dessert after lunch! We're looking forward to Easter this year as well!

Enjoying her Shamrock Shake

Mammaw & Pappaw came to visit last weekend and Cadence got some early Easter gifts. She'll have to grow into the adorable rain boots, but she loves the candy and the activity book!

Cadence has a lot of fun with her toy train set.

Looking too cool while watching TV after our stroll around the neighborhood.
This is how she smiles when you tell her to say, "Cheese!"

Hello March!

I decided to update the blog because Danny and I are constantly saying to each other that Cadence has changed so much in the past couple of weeks! By changing, I mean growing up. She talks ALL THE TIME now. You may not be able to understand some of it, but we're able to figure most of it out. She likes to sing along to songs; her favorites right now are "Moves Like Jagger" and "Stereo Hearts"...guess she likes Adam Lavine from Maroon 5. Even though it's March, she still sings Jingle Bells like it's her job. She's also picked up "Skinamarinky Dinky Dink" and "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" (you know, the one that goes "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye) just from me singing them to her when I change her diaper! She calls Scarlet by name now and yells at her just about as much as we do (we're trying to not do that as much!). Her grammar is getting better also. She says things like "over here", "under there" and knows the difference between "this" and "that". She has even begun to play pretend. She plays with her dollhouse and will "take" things out of the refrigerator and put them on the table or we'll ask her to take a bite of her food and she tries to fake us out! She still likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but doesn't ask to watch Elmo anymore. Her new favorites are Curious George and Blues Clues. She has very good manners and says, "Thank you Mommy". Oh, and she calls Danny, "Danny" a lot! We try to correct her and say "Daddy" but she thinks it's funny!

Cadence got sick on Thursday, so I stayed home with her on Friday. Here she is chilling on the sheet/towel lined couch sharing some of her Goldfish crackers with Bear.

Tonight, Tonight

Cadence has a few favorite songs; "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae is one of them. She usually sings along to it pretty well; this is what I got out of her the other day.

Jibberish

I think I got this video before bathtime one weekend. After watching it again, I might have deciphered some of the things she's saying. It sounds like she says, "basketball" right before she starts whipping her "princess shirt" around. Then I think she says, "T-shirt on" followed by "Sleeping Beauty on." Her shirt has Belle, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty on the front. She's slowly learning how to say their names. When her shirt gets stuck on her head she says, "Where'd it go?!" She's so silly!
