April

April brought us the start to the LAX season, travel for Danny (which means more silly pictures of the kids), and 7th grade middle school softball.

The first day of lacrosse games this season were very cold!  Colin did really well.  I got some neat videos of some nice passes and goals - especially with Colin passing back and forth with Adrian.

Enjoy the April photos we sent of the kids to Danny...

We were proud of Cadence for making the 7th grade middle school softball team.  She gave it her best and won a spot on the coveted team.  If I remember correctly, there were 22 girls that tried out and 13 made the team.  Not all of the 7th graders on her travel team made it, so it was tough!

On days that Cadence had games after school, she would bring her softball bag - that combined with her lunch and/or her clarinet and book bag meant a lot of stuff to lug around!

The first game of the season was an away game in Dublin vs Eversole Run Middle School.  The Eagles pulled out a W.  Cadence is learning how to deal with earning her playing time - it's been an adjustment with school sports!  She struggled a bit, but says she wants to try out for the 8th grade team next season.

The girls all had funny paint/eye black on their faces.

I stopped by Alum Creek Lake on the way home to snap this pretty sunset pic.
