We invited Vince & Rhonda to spend Veteran's Day with us this year. Veteran's Day fell on a Friday, so it worked out well! They came up Thursday evening and spent the weekend with us. Colin sent Vince a text and asked if they could come - the kids were excited to be able to recognize Vince and include him in the festivities.
Cadence's school had a Veteran's Day breakfast - we didn't have a chance to eat (we originally only had plans to visit Colin's school), but the choir sang some really nice songs and provided interesting facts about the military, the American flag, and the United States.
Vince sent a few photos to us to include in the Veteran's Day slideshow at Colin's school.
The fourth graders performed songs during the Veteran's Day program at Colin's school. Their voices sounded so sweet and they did a really good job.
Jaden's grandma snapped this cute picture of the buddies.
After the program, the Veteran's took a tour around the school to be honored by all of the students and staff - there were a lot of high 5s and fist bumps. It was really touching to see 😊
