Easter 2022

Easter was a lot of fun this year.  The kids woke up at a reasonable hour. The weather was perfect.  We had an awesome brunch.  We spent time with Mom, Dad, Mike, and Gina.  We dyed Easter eggs.  We even took a nice walk.  We were practically outside the entire day.  It was a nice 180 from Easter 2020.

The kids started the morning off with the egg hunt...

I love that the kids love the traditions every year...

Danny and I finally put together his griddle (Friday at midnight) so he could make Easter brunch for everyone.  It worked out great and Danny did a great job!  We had pancakes, hash browns, sausage, bacon, and made-to-order omelets!

Cadence helped me with our favorite pancake batter - it requires buttermilk (that we make with regular milk and vinegar) and whipping in egg whites so that they turn out extra fluffy!

Mom & Dad are so cute.  I think they're the only ones that enjoyed Bloody Marys.

Colin took everyone's order so that Danny knew what to cook!

Poor Gina fell backward in the rickety, old, plastic Adirondack chair.  I missed the live action, but this was the aftermath.  I know everyone got a good chuckle out of it and Gina wasn't severely hurt!

Uncle Mike helped Cadence with her skateboarding skills - he noticed her board wasn't up to par, so he got a new one built for her!

The boys always gravitate to the basketball hoop when we're outside.

It was so nice outside, Mom had the idea to dye Easter eggs outdoors!

We took a walk on the trail while Danny stayed home to cut the grass
