The kids are big fans of Easter morning and love all of the traditions we have created thus far. They usually wait until a reasonable time to wake us up (around 7:00 in the morning) - one will wake up before the other, so we hang out in our room until the other wakes up. This year they decided they would hunt for Easter eggs first and then check out the goodies in their Easter baskets. It's really cute to watch them look for eggs - they help each other out and will even share to make sure things are somewhat even. Their excitement is contagious and we have a really good time all morning.
It didn't rain that weekend, so the Easter Bunny hid eggs inside and outside!
The Easter Bunny behaved this year and didn't go overboard on the candy and brought more practical gifts - sunglasses, books, iTunes gift card, LEGOs. Good job, Easter Bunny. I played around with my camera a bit, trying to get some decent photos.
We waited to dye Easter eggs with my parents on Easter day. We had brunch that morning at our house and my brother came and spent the day with us. He even got Cadence to learn to ride her bike without her training wheels! It was an awesome day!
