The New Year brings college football bowl games and Scarlet's birthday! Even though Ohio State didn't make it to the national championship, they at least got to play in a decent bowl game. Mom and Dad came over to watch the game. It was a fun game to watch!
While in the kitchen, I snapped a picture of our Buckeye Candle with the game on in the background.
Scarlet turned 12 this year! We celebrated by giving her some new dog treats with peanut butter on top.
And then peanut butter on her nose! It's mean to Scarlet, but the kids think it's hysterical.
Colin likes to work out with us on the weekends
Danny sent me some pictures of the kids while waiting for the bus one morning.
He also sent me a picture of the kids playing nice in the playroom one day - Cadence made a bird!
The 3rd graders that mastered multiplication, division, and their own goals with facts made an appearance on the school news on 1/11/19
Game Day Ready!
Watching Colin play and Cadence cheer had me grinning from ear-to-ear the whole morning. I was amazed at how quickly they picked things up. They did so well and put in a great effort!
Danny's been an awesome assistant coach! He's had to fill in for the coach for one night at practice and also at last week's game. Colin loves having his dad coach.
One of Colin's rewards on his behavior chart was getting to eat a s'more. I made an indoor s'more...and he made a mess!
We finally got enough snow to be able to go sledding. Danny had to go into the office one Sunday morning; here's Colin waiting for him to get home. He was ready!
At Colin's basketball game, Danny heard parents talking about how the high school has a pretty decent sledding hill. We had to check it out for ourselves!
While sledding, we slid into this little family of snowmen that someone had made!
Sledding without a sled
Attempting to build a snowman, but the snow just wouldn't stick!
Snow angels instead...
