At the beginning of October, I was able to join Colin's class (and the rest of the kindergartners and 2nd graders) on a field trip to Lehner's Pumpkin Farm. Our family really enjoys this farm, and I was able to go with Cadence last year, so I really wanted to go with Colin! It was a nice fall day that actually got really warm - we just about melted in the corn maze!
Colin about lost his $*@! when we arrived. It had been a couple of years since he had been there and he was amazed by all of the pumpkins that they had out front.
We started the trip with a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.
He picked a winner!
The kids checked out some of the animals while we waited for their turn on the jump pillow.
Lunch time
Corn maze - there were clues to guide us, but it was tough!
Class picture
Corn box - not sure what it's called, but it was like a sand box with corn!
Learning about the life cycle of a chicken and meeting baby chicks!
The animal track maze ended with a slide
And had a rock-climbing wall
Tractors on the raceway
Learning about food grown on the farm
Giant Legos
We had a fun day at Lehner's. If you ask Colin, he'll tell you his favorites were the hayride and the corn maze. I'll be a chaperone on field trips as long as the kids will allow!
