Watch Out School, Here They Come!

As I mentioned in my last post, we had meet and greet at school the Tuesday before school started.  We dropped off our school supplies, met the teachers, checked out the classrooms, and bought some school gear.
Here's Colin in front of his classroom door - Mrs. Mignogno's Minions
We were excited that Colin ended up in Mrs. Mignogno's class - just like Cadence 3 years ago!  She's the best!

I had to get a pic of little bro in front of the school sign, just like big sis

The kids got popsicles on their way out the door

The next day, school started for Cadence!  Colin had to wait until the following Monday.  Please enjoy the obligatory chalkboard "First Day of School" pictures:

They're nuts

Then Colin got a hold of the camera...

...and he just kept snapping away...

...yup, kept going...

Cadence tossing her lunch box back and forth is almost like a flip book!

Keep in mind I've deleted about 20 other pictures that he had taken up to this point...

The pool crew showed up while we waited for the bus

Oh, Colin...

He was proud of this one

There's the bus! Cadence cooperated and let her brother take her picture.  The windows were too tinted to see her once she got on the bus!

Not long after Cadence was whisked away for school, Danny, Colin, and I headed over to Magic Mountain for some mini-golf and go carts!

We all had a really good time playing around - we won't talk about the Colin meltdown that ensued when it was time to leave...

The next day, Colin had his FIRST EVER baseball practice.  There are only a total of 5 boys on the team.  Since it's fall ball, there aren't as many kids participating, so they combined the t-ball (pre-school) and coach pitch (kindergarten) kids.  There isn't really a need for outfielders at this stage in the game, so it works out well.  The kids started out practicing some throwing and catching with one another. (The poor ball fields hadn't received their TLC yet)

The coach hit some grounders to them

I think his favorite part of the practice was batting

I think Cadence got the baseball itch, too, while watching her brother practice

And no post is complete without a Scarlet picture!
