Easter 2018

The kids were super stoked for Easter this year.  They spent a lot of time the Saturday prior, creating little gifts for the Easter Bunny.  They were also sure to put out carrots and lettuce for the Easter Bunny (something we've never done before).  The kids came into our room around 7 am and we decided that they would check out the goodies in their Easter baskets first, then go on the egg hunt.  They were thrilled to see everything that the Easter Bunny had left for them.  I think Colin liked the Star Wars Legos the most and Cadence was a big fan of the stuffed animal cat.  They both went crazy over all of the candy.

His face is always a mess when he eats chocolate!

On your mark, get set, go!

They were super sweet, again, this year to make sure they got an even amount of eggs and pointed out eggs to each other.

So fast, he was a blur!

I made her stop & pose - this is the face I got in return.

We waited to dye eggs until Easter as well.  Danny made a comment that it took longer to get all of the dye set up than it did to actually dye the eggs.  I'll either hard-boil more eggs next year or encourage them to be a little more creative and make multi-colored eggs.

They were proud of how they turned out!

We had a really good time on Easter and probably ate way too much food.  My parents and brother came over for brunch and then we went on a nice walk.  We had some turkey sandwiches for late lunch/early dinner and the most delicious carrot cake my mom has ever made for dessert!
