Yay for May!

The weather is finally warming up in Ohio!  Cadence enjoys playing outside; she likes to play on her slide, blow bubbles, play with sidewalk chalk, and ride on her Tinker Bell 4-wheeler!  Santa brought her the 4-wheeler for Christmas, and since Christmas morning, would not ride on it!  It's pretty small and not intimidating, but she ran into a couple things and refused to ride it.

Mamaw and Papaw came to visit a couple of weeks ago.  We're not sure what it is, but Vince has a way of convincing Cadence to do things that we can't get her to do.  And he hardly has to try!  He mentioned to her that she should get on the 4-wheeler, and she did!  We were amazed.  She had so much fun that afternoon riding around.  He even got her to switch out her earrings that my parents had gotten for her...way back in October!

She's definitely a stinker and stubborn at times!  She makes us laugh a lot, but then gets mad at us because we're laughing at her.  The other day while we were eating lunch, she said something funny, almost like she was speaking Hebrew and we laughed at her.  She blew us away when she called Danny a "stupid butt!"  Since we were already laughing, it was difficult to keep my composure, but she knows that we do not like for her to say those words separately, so for her to say them together was even worse!  We think we have an idea of where she learned them.

She has started to play "I spy", but quickly tells you what she's looking at.  She has a new part of her bathtime routine now.  Before she gets out of the tub, she acts like she's playing the piano on the soap dish.  Her song of choice is "We Are the Champions", but the rendition from the movie "Chicken Little."  It's pretty freaking funny.

She's very sympathetic toward Scarlet, who, for the time being, lives with her comfy cone around her head.  Her allergies are horrible at this time of year, and it's all we can do to keep her from destroying herself.  We haven't found a medication that seems to help her.  Cadence is also extremely excited about the new baby.  She kisses and hugs my belly and gets a kick out of when the baby has the hiccups.  We know she is going to be a great big sister and we can't wait for them to meet each other!

36 weeks!  Yes, I realize it looks like the baby is about to fall out of me!  And no, I do not know what a crenshaw melon is!
