I'm normally behind on my posts, so I'm posting these pictures from 24 weeks even though I'm almost 26 weeks along. I will go to the doctor on Tuesday; I will be 25 weeks, 6 days at that point. I will take the glucose screening/glucose tolerance test to make sure I'm not developing gestational diabetes. I'm guessing I've gained about 18 pounds so far. I've been eating horribly (basically any sweets in sight), so I wouldn't be surprised if it's even more than that! I'm already regretting the Girl Scout cookie order I placed...they can be frozen though, right?! The baby must be pushing down on some nerves because I've had a lot of sciatic pain on my right side. Sometimes it makes it difficult to do anything...it hurts to walk, but it also hurts to sit down! I'm just glad the pain is not constant. The baby has been moving around a lot. I can tell he/she is getting stronger. Cadence likes to say, "I want to feel the baby" and she'll put her tiny hand on my belly and act all excited even if the baby isn't moving. It's cute. I went ahead and scheduled a 2nd ultrasound for March 5. Most doctors would have already completed an anatomy scan around 20 weeks, but my doctor will only schedule one if she feels there is a need. I just want to make sure everything is progressing normally; if not, at least we can take the proper measures to be prepared on delivery day. Plus, it'll be nice to take another peek at baby #2.
Cadence is getting better at taking our monthly baby bump pictures. Normally we have to bribe her to play along, but this time, she had fun with it. After every picture, she would run back to Danny to see how the picture turned out. She was a nut.
