It has been a great Summer...I will be sad to see it go! I'm not ready for cold weather; here in Ohio, it seems to go from hot to cold. Oh well, at least we have some fun Fall stuff to look forward to: apple picking, pumpkin carving, and Halloween! I'll try my best to catch everyone up with what we've been up to!
Cadence enjoying a popsicle during a break from playing with her water table.
Totally engrossed with the TV. I'm not sure what she was watching at the time. At the moment, her favs are Finding Nemo, Toy Story 3, and Bubble Guppies!
Recently, we took a trip down South! Cadence and I drove down to Suwanee with my parents and Danny flew down there to meet us for a few days as well. We got to spend a lot of time with my Grandma, Auntie Dianne, Uncle Mike, cousins, and Auntie Gail. It was so nice to be able to just hang out and spend time with everyone. I wish we got to see each other more often. We also spent some time with Danny's grandparents & Uncle Ricky. We had a great time during our entire trip because Cadence was a totally different kid this time around! What a difference a year makes. This year, she was running around everywhere (last year, she couldn't even walk), she would sit on anyone's lap (last year, she wouldn't even let some people look at her), and she was in a good mood the entire time (last year, she was teething)! The trip was too short, but well worth it.
Here is Cadence hanging out with Great-Grandpa.
So, it's kind of like a Schuerman granddaughter initiation or something...they all end up in Max's crate! I don't get the fascination, but I'm also not 2!
I couldn't pick just one...here's Cadence with her Nanny.
Cool name, don't you think?
While we were in GA, we were able to meet up with my good friend, Ashley, from high school, along with her husband, Charles, and their son, Parker. Parker is just a little older than Cadence. They had a great time at this place called Catch Air. Cadence seriously cried when it was time to leave! It was great to see you, Ashley!
Cadence showing us her moves. I think it's funny she's the only one on the dance floor. :)
I have no idea what she's saying in this video, but it's funny nonetheless...
She got a little wimpy & would only go down on her belly at one point...
Four generations of girls!
To say Cadence was obsessed with Rocky is an understatement...
My cousin, Melanie, took this shot with her iPhone...so cute.
Paparazzi taking pics of Cadence, the dog whisperer.
Auntie showing Oscar to Cadence. If only Cadence could grasp how old Oscar is and how large his vocabulary is!
Grandma Jo playing with Cadence
Michelle and I found a turtle on our walk. I thought Cadence would get a bigger kick out of it, but she was a little freaked out!

I love this one with my Uncle Mike
Fooling around before we headed back to Ohio!
So if my Mom asks Cadence what she wants to do on Wednesday, 9 times out of 10, she'll say she wants to go to the zoo. Here are some shots from the most recent trip.
Finally ON the merry-go-round...still won't sit on an animal. Stinker.
I saw someone had posted this easy activity on facebook from pinterest. It kept her occupied for a little bit. I think she ate more Cheerios than she put on the spaghetti.
And......success! Last Saturday, Danny said that Cadence was trying to take off her diaper. We told her she could wear her big girl undies, but she couldn't tinkle in them. She did great all weekend, and I think she is now potty-trained! She still has an occasional accident if she can't get to the potty in time, but she totally understands the whole concept. We're so proud of her! We weren't even going to visit the idea of potty-training until around Christmas!
We got her to sit on the toilet by watching Mickey on the iPad...lifesaver. All weekend she thought the entire potty process was the best...iPad, flushing, washing, candy.
Using Daddy as a recliner
Taking care of Scarlet
Here's 'nut acting a nut. Again, I have no idea what she's saying, but she could do this for hours I think.
This past weekend, we all participated in the local, Dash for Dad, to celebrate my Dad kicking prostate cancer's a$#! We had a really good time together and will hopefully take part each year. There were a lot of people there. Hopefully they raised a lot of money and spread awareness. Here's their website if you'd like to learn more: http://greatprostatecancerchallenge.com/
