Random Happenings in November

Just some random, but fun stuff in November!

Starting out was the production of Swan Lake. Cora was supposed to dance, but hurt her foot. Cadence still went along with Cora and Veronica to support the dancers. Cadence and Nolan won't give up an opportunity to hang out together!

I think this was outside of Dirty Franks downtown!

Pizza night pic to Danny.

We had the opportunity to spot the northern lights again -- you could see them better through your phone!

Sophomore year pic, take 2 (she hated the original)

Found a ball on our walk & wouldn't give it up

Halloween 2025

The Halloween traditions looked a little different this year! Nolan joined us to carve pumpkins.

And the kids went trick-or-treating with Nolan and Darren in the neighborhood near the high school. Cadence somehow didn't freeze. They all had fun and, surprisingly, got way less candy than in years past. Veronica and I kept encouraging them to keep going!

Creepy mask boys met up with Ryan Day (Graham) 😂

Ziplining at Hocking Hills

For our 19th anniversary last year, I told Danny I wanted to go ziplining at Hocking Hills as a family, and we did just that! The kids did great and wanted to do it again -- except next time a more thrilling course! I was so surprised. Despite the chilly, drizzly weather, we all had a great time and I'm glad we decided on that activity!

Circleville Pumpkin Show '25 - Eat Pumpkin & Ride Things

We returned the favor and brought the Riley boys to the Circleville Pumpkin Show. We ate some pumpkin things, but the kids just wanted to ride all the rides. Colin and Darren bought unlimited ride wristbands. They nicely let their siblings use their wristband for a couple of rides, too. Dad came, too, and ate ALL the pumpkin things.

When we got home, we had dinner with Dan and Auntie Donna at the 'rents' house.

Maze at Little Darby Creek

The Rileys took the kids to the Maze at Little Darby Creek for some fall fun. We were told that flannel was mandatory. 😃

Heyyyy October

Next up, was the Les Eisenhart Invite at Thomas Worthington High School. It was another scorcher, but Colin somehow finished in 16:43. Impressive!

The Rileys came over for some outdoor fun after the race. The kids went swimming and we watched a movie with our projector!

The last XC race of the season was a rainy one at Berkshire Middle School. Colin wrapped up the season with an awesome 15:57 time!

We sent some more pics to Danny while he had to travel for work.

Colin and I ran in the XC Color Run to celebrate the end of the season. It was TOUGH. I think that's the last time I'll be participating as a runner.

A beautiful sunrise to start out the day at 7:37am on October 15th.
