Trip to Rhodie!

We were recently lucky enough to spend some time in Rhode Island visiting family and having some fun!  It was so nice to see everyone and wish we were able to see them more often!  We missed the Izzos who were in Myrtle Beach, but we had a good time visiting with everyone else!

Mom and Dad spoiled us and rented an RV so we'd have plenty of room to stretch out our legs during the long drive there!  I took more pictures during the drive, but I'll be nice and won't post them. Here was Cadence's spot for the 14 hour drive!  She was quite content with her Disney pals and the Bubble Guppies on constant replay on the iPad.

We spent a couple of days hanging out with my Dad's parents...Cadence calls them Grandpa Ray and Grandma Alice.  Dad was showing off his new clubs...Cadence had to be involved.  Future in the LPGA maybe?

Luckily it didn't take long for Cadence to warm up to everyone we visited. She had a good time goofing around with Great-Grandma Alice.

Auntie Gail got suckered into giving my Mom a pro massage...Cadence wanted one too!

We had enough time to spend the day at Newport.  We had beautiful weather during our entire trip and this was a great place to be for the day!

Enjoying the Cliff Walk

Gigantic houses all along the coast...

We found this awesome restaurant with a great view from the patio...oh yeah, the food was phenomenal too!

There was a live band at the restaurant too.  Here's Grandma and Cadence enjoying a dance!

And I had to include a picture of the strip pizzas we got.  Damn, why can't Columbus have bakeries that make this stuff???  May look gross to you, but I could eat this stuff all day every day!

2nd Birthday Extravaganza!

We cannot believe Cadence is already two years old!  We had a lot of fun celebrating her birthday.  It kind of seemed like a month-long affair!  She's so funny now that she talks even better than before.  She's had a couple "terrible two" episodes, but nothing too bad.  She's also becoming more "snuggly" as we call it.  She'll come hug my legs if I'm washing dishes and she'll give us big hugs and kisses before bed.  A couple of weeks ago, while we were standing in line at the grocery store, she said to me, "Mommy, I wub you" and gave me a big hug!  It was so cute!  Ahh we love her.  She's so silly too!  I was on dog poo duty the other day and Cadence was following me.  She goes, "Ewww, that's gross!"  She has quite an imagination now, as well.  She is convinced that an alligator lives in Grandma & Poppa's backyard (we never told her that).  She also makes up stories about school.  We'll ask her how she got a scratch at school & she'll create some elaborate story about how it happened.  And if you ask her again what happened, the story will change!

So I've got a lot pictures to share with everyone, so enjoy!

If you play with chalk, you better be prepared to do all the work!  She'll scribble a little, but makes you draw everything!

Practicing her "two" fingers!
Cinderella before the ball
Playing outside with her water table from Aunt Annie.  She didn't have a bathing suit yet!

We went to Hamilton over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate her birthday with Danny's family.  Even though it was really hot outside, we had a ton of fun!  Here's Cadence with Gracie, her partner in crime.

Loves it!

Likes icing, not such a big fan of cake...
