Before spring break, Colin had some fun activities planned at school:
PRE hosted its first ever parent/student Spring Fling Dance for 3rd and 4th graders on a Friday evening. For an hour and a half, kids got to dance, play games, and get their faces painted. They had a DJ and a photo booth. Colin kinda got bored after being there for an hour, but I think he had fun seeing his buddies. Here he is playing cornhole with his baseball buds, D & Graham. Danny was in LA that night, so Cadence hung with Grandma and Poppa while I chaperoned.
I thought Colin did a really neat job on this picture. If I remember correctly, he could only use a certain number of colors to complete the picture.
Colin's school also had an "art show" - here he is with his piece of work!
For an Eagle Extension, PRE offered a drum ensemble taught by the music teacher, Mrs. Bridge. It was a pretty basic class since it included younger kids, but I think Colin enjoyed it. Mom and I went to the performance at the last class. They tapped out the beats to different songs on buckets as the teacher directed them through the music. Colin was chosen to help control the music for the teacher. I believe he was "first chair" for most of the class. I like that he took it seriously!
