The days surrounding Christmas were bitterly cold this year. We forgot to turn down the humidifier in the house and woke up to foggy windows around the entire house!
It was also very windy - you can see how the snow was blown up onto the screen and window sill an entire story off the ground!
The Friday before Christmas, the entire office worked from home - you can see on my screen it reads -7 degrees...and that's without the wind chill (which was -34).
That morning, I had to document the pretty eggs that we got from the lady down the street. I was surprised her hens were even laying this many eggs when it was so cold. I was thankful she had them - bird flu has affected many farms and eggs were scarce and pricey at the stores.
We also set the refrigerator thermometer outside for a bit. This is after it had been back indoors for a minute or so - it was fun watching the temperature fall when we put it outside.
Cadence's buddy, Lilly, spent the night and they decided they wanted to play in the snow (Colin, too). I said they were crazy because it was so cold. They toughed it out and lasted close to 30 minutes or more out there. I was amazed!
