Between fall sports and the usual fall activities, we're pretty jam-packed each weekend. Take a look...
The Chargers made the Super Bowl this season, so the girls had one last time together as a team - unfortunately the weather did not cooperate (can't really complain, though - most of the season was pleasant). Colin stayed home with Grandma, and Danny and I went along for support. It rained sideways from about halftime on. Cadence refused to wear a coat or gloves and didn't want to be covered with an umbrella. They rocked their halftime routine and despite the weather, had a great time!
Speaking of Cadence, check her out next to the principal of the school. She was part of the Character Crew in October. Each month, one student from each class is selected for being an exemplary student. They get to celebrate and have a little party at the end of the day. So proud of our kiddo!
Colin and the rest of the first graders got to go to the new Legoland for a field trip. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to chaperone with Halloween being the next day, but he told us that he had a lot of fun!
Speaking of Halloween, check out this house we saw in Sunbury on our way to cheer practice - the kids counted 100-something Jack-O-Lanterns. It was amazing! We learned that they used strings of Christmas lights to light them up - genius, right? I don't even want to think about how long it would take to light all of them if they had candles!
Next up, pumpkin carving! I gave Colin the fancy camera and he took lots of pictures - enjoy!
(for the pictures including Colin, I was the photographer 😊)
The kids actually enjoyed cleaning out the pumpkins this year - I hardly had to do any work!

Lastly, it was applesauce time! The kids took turns peeling/coring apples with Danny while I sliced the apples into smaller pieces. The kids don't appreciate the deliciousness of the finished product - that leaves more for Danny and me! At least they have fun prepping the apples.
And then...it was HALLOWEEN!!!
