September Stuff

The month of September included fun school activities, a day off from school for the kiddos, more sports, and another RV trip!  Read on!

Colin's 1st grade teacher is really awesome - we were thrilled to find out Colin would be in her class (Cadence was in her class in 2nd grade).  She keeps things interesting for the kids and makes learning fun!  You can tell she really loves her job, as well as the students!  Here are a couple of pictures that she shared with us.  Colin's always chucking up the deuces 😁

The kids were home from school on "Fair Day" - we went to the Delaware County fair a couple of years ago and it was so hot and we really weren't impressed (compared to the Ohio State Fair); so instead of going to the fair, the kids stayed home with Danny.  I checked in at one point during the day (via Ring) and saw them hanging outside playing with sand art.  It was the cutest picture, so I took a screenshot - I was jealous that they were outside having fun and I was stuck inside at work!  If you look closely, you can even see Scarlet in the grass soaking it all in!

Danny later sent me this picture to show me their creations.

We helped out a co-worker of mine whose daughter was collecting toys for children in Haiti - it was part of a Christmas in July fundraiser; we had the months of July-September to purchase items to include for her trip later in the year.  We were told to purchase items at the dollar store.  While shopping, Cadence found this creepy mask with the Halloween items.  It was hysterical - I had to take a picture to share!

Every weekend in September went like this: Saturdays were football games - Colin played flag football and Cadence cheered for tackle football; Sundays were Colin's lacrosse games.  We sure did stay busy on the weekends!  Here's Colin and his team being introduced at the beginning of the game running through their banner.  BWYAA did a great job hyping the teams up!

My parents couldn't make it to one of Colin's lacrosse games, so I took some pictures to send to my mom.  Colin really got into the games this season and tried his hardest!

Toward the end of the month, my parents took the kids to Hocking Hills.  It was really hot that weekend so I felt badly for them when I found out the campground had drained the pool for painting.  My parents did a good job finding other activities to keep the kids occupied and happy, though.  They went on hikes, read books, colored pictures, played video games, etc.  I was told that Colin made friends with some brothers that were there and he played a lot of Gaga ball.  I'm thankful for my parents for creating these memories with the kids.

One evening we were outside after school/work and Cadence pointed out that the clouds and sunset looked like the wifi symbol - she's a funny gal!

Colin went upstairs to get dressed for a football game, and this is how I found him.  Can't argue with that, right?!  So sweet...

We spent one evening with our friends, the Marinellis, watching football and catching up. It was an interesting evening of sorts - we had planned to watch the game outside, but that didn't work out; other kids in the neighborhood were over; one of the kids is always having fun while another is tattling, that sort of thing.  I snapped this photo right before we left - the kids were ALL in ONE hula hoop.  I felt it summed up the night completely - crazy!
