Christmas 2018

On Christmas Eve, we hung out at my parents' house and had dinner there.  When we ordered our groceries online prior to Christmas, we didn't realize that the gingerbread houses weren't assembled yet (womp, womp).  We'd learned in the past, that the kind you can find at Costco is the best - it's preassembled and all you have to do is decorate!  The poor kids were bummed that the houses wouldn't stay together using the (sorry excuse for) icing that came in the kit.  We made the best of it and just decorated the walls individually.  I think Colin just liked eating the icing and the candy.

After dinner, it was time to get ready for Santa to come!

Totally Psyched!

We make them wait at the top of the stairs so one of us can catch their reaction when the first see all of the gifts.

This year, Colin was way more stoked about all of the things he received.

She wanted a prank kit so badly.

Survivor Buffs!

Sporting his new Big Walnut sweatshirt from Grandma and Poppa

He was ecstatic to receive a phone (iPod Touch)

And for some reason, Cadence wanted a stuffed animal sloth!

We had an awesome Christmas Day - it's always so relaxed and full of good food.  It's fun to bounce from house to house & move at our own pace.  We play with the new toys and games and devour as many cookies as we can.  Once all the hecticness preceding Christmas day subsides, it's fun to just soak it all in and chill out.
