We spent a lot of Christmas Eve and Christmas bouncing back and forth between our house and my parents' house -- the luxury of being neighbors! We all had a nice, relaxing, laid back, cozy holiday!
We went to Mom & Dad's house for Christmas Eve.
So excited for Santa to come!
After dinner we attempted to decorate a gingerbread house. It wasn't very pretty, but we had fun!
Colin (very proud) displaying our finished product. He always points to things in this manner -- it cracks me up!
Ready for bed and ready for Santa!
The kids actually let us sleep past 7:00 this year -- it was great! Merry Christmas to us!
Their faces say it all
After the kids checked out all of their gifts, we headed back to my parents' house for breakfast and more gift opening! Then we had dinner at our house.
Papaw brought the girls to our house for round 2 of Christmas on Monday!
One of the gifts my parents gave the kids were their very own fish tanks. We went out as a family the following weekend and went out to dinner and then to the pet store so they could pick out their fish!
And our pup, Scarlet, turned 10 years old on January 2nd. We bought her a special treat!
Singing, "Happy Birthday" while she tried to get to her birthday treat. It was a super hard treat, so I had to break it up for her into a few pieces.
Yum!
