A couple of weeks ago, we made our annual trip to Lynd's Fruit Farm. The weather was perfect for apple picking. We headed over there early to try to get as much in before Colin was ready for his nap. We were the first car in the parking lot! We started the day with apple fritters and pumpkin doughnuts. Next, we headed over to pick some apples - the apples set for picking that weekend were Jonathan, Golden Delicious and Red Delicious. We got a ton and the kids had a good time! We knew Cadence would like the apples, but Colin did too! Last, we headed over to the kid's area, but we were there a good 45 minutes before the games and activities started. We're going to try to head over there again to hit up the hay ride and corn maze.
Pictures are always an opportunity to pose :)

Practicing his walking
Last weekend was a little cooler, so we had some fun inside. Cadence and I played beauty shop and painted her nails and curled her hair. She found some jewels from my crafting stuff and had to put one on her forehead. Ever since she had her face painted like Elsa, she thinks they're beautiful. Pretty sure she doesn't know it's a big part of Indian culture.

This weekend, we took advantage of the warmer weather and helped Danny with some yard work! Cadence only helped spread mulch for a little bit - she didn't want to get dirty!
Colin couldn't get enough of it! He was throwing it everywhere! He's lucky he had that pacifier in his mouth or there would've been mulch in there too!
Cadence surprised us by holding some worms. She was trying to find roly poly bugs and held a furry caterpillar too! Yesterday, she had these weird red spots all over her body. We did some "googling" and learned that the caterpillar was poisonous! She hasn't complained of any itching or burning and is acting fine. The red spots should go away in a day or two. Beware of white & black furry caterpillars!
