Hard to believe our baby girl is one year old! Over the past couple of days, Danny and I have reminded each other of what we were doing this time last year. At times it feels like it was just yesterday...other times if feels like it was such a long time ago when we were sitting in the NICU worrying about our new baby. We love the age that Cadence is now -- we can't even count how many times she makes us laugh each day. Everyone is "Daddy", every animal is "Puppy" and she still LOVES Sesame Street. Just about anything she can put up to her ear is a phone; we think she'll be a social butterfly.
We celebrated Cadence's birthday at a nearby park. The picnic area wasn't available to reserve, so Danny arrived early in the morning since the area is a first come, first served type of deal. He even decorated the spot for his little girl. Even though it was a humid and hot June afternoon, it was nice to spend time with family and grill out. Cadence received some adorable clothes and pretty cool toys! Thanks to everyone who could attend and make Cadence's day even more special.
