I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and we ended up scheduling an induction for Saturday morning at 5:00 am. Cadence decided that she finally wanted to meet us around 7:00 pm. and my contractions started to progress. I thought I might try to sleep through them, but that wasn't happening. The contractions became very strong and very regular. We left to go to the hospital at 1:00 in the morning and ended up having a baby without the scheduled induction! Danny was an awesome birthing coach (even without classes - mom gave us a private class at home since she's a labor and delivery RN) and my mom and Danny's mom were there to help as well. The nursing staff was great and my doctor was calm, cool, and collected.
We can't wait to start our new life with our new, precious baby!
Congratulations!!! She is just precious and you look great! I hope the labor wasn't too bad...20 hrs is a long time... but all worth it like you said! Hope you guys are doing well and can't wait to see more pics!
ReplyDeleteYou look way too good in those pictures to have gone through 20 hours of labor - I just don't believe it :) She is so precious...almost exactly the size Kaelynn was when she was born, so tiny! Enjoy all the firsts, I hope to meet her someday soon...
ReplyDeleteawesome pictures, congrats
ReplyDeleteCongrats Danny and Vanessa... she is beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteCurious, why didn't he take the birthing classes? My hubby loved them, you learn soooooooo much. You had quite a crowd in there with both Mom's too?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear she's as good as she is cute, hope that continues.
We took a few classes, just not the birthing classes since my mom does labor and delivery for a living!
